  • Once annually the first Tuesday in September as required and then needed for business.
  • Meetings are held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall located at 118 W Central Ave. Arkansas City, KS.

History & Purpose

Created to oversee the construction of:

  • South Central Kansas Medical Center (SCKMC)
  • Patterson Park Subdivision
  • Holds ownership of SCKMC’s construction bonds

Membership

  • 9 total members
  • 5 elected City Commissioners
  • 4 citizens, appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Commission

Terms

  • Members serve 2-year terms
