The Arkansas City Police Department recently participated in the 2025 Click It or Ticket enforcement campaign, conducting overtime saturation patrols to crack down on violations of Kansas occupant restraint, texting, impaired driving, and other traffic laws.
Over the course of the campaign, officers made a total of 117 vehicle stops. The enforcement efforts resulted in:
• 17 safety belt citations
• 2 child restraint citations
• 9 speeding citations
• 46 other citations
• 2 arrests
Chief Jim Holloway emphasized the importance of the campaign’s mission, stating,
“We are here to enforce all Kansas traffic laws and ultimately to decrease unsafe driving behavior. If you were stopped, we hope you learned from the experience. If so, we’ve made the roads a little safer for you and those you share the road with. We will continue to do that because, while the 2025 Click It or Ticket campaign may be over, traffic enforcement never is.”
The Arkansas City Police Department urges all motorists to buckle up—for yourself, your family, and your friends. Seat belts save lives.
