Early Morning Rollover Accident Sends One to the Hospital
At approximately 7:11 a.m., on December 29, 2025, the Arkansas City Police Department responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Cedar Street and Summit Street.
Initial information indicates a single vehicle was traveling northbound in the 500 block of North Summit Street when it left the roadway on the left side and rolled. The vehicle struck a fire hydrant, causing damage, and came to rest near the intersection.
The driver was evaluated at the scene by the Arkansas City Fire/EMS Department and transported to SCK Health for further evaluation. The driver was later discharged.
The vehicle was identified as a black Jeep Grand Cherokee. The driver was identified as Noelia Gallegos of Ponca City. It is believed the driver may have fallen asleep, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The incident remains under investigation.
