The Arkansas City Police Department recently partnered with Frances Willard Elementary to create a one of a kind graphics design for one of our brand new patrol vehicles.

Second graders at Frances Willard lent a hand to the design literally, with the help of ACPD officers during their regular art classes.

“Involving the classes from Frances Willard helps us showcase our commitment to them and this community,” said Police Chief Eric Burr

The hand-prints that were taken were then sent to a company that turned them into red, white and blue vinyl applications that now adorn an otherwise black Dodge Charger.

In addition to the hand-prints, the phrase “To Serve and Connect” appears over the front fender wells.

This car is utilized not only for regular patrol, but for training and other special events.

At the Arkansas City Police Department we strive to have positive interactions with all and to build relationships that will last. 

We are greatly appreciative of USD 470, specifically the staff at Frances Willard Elementary for their assistance in making the patrol vehicle a reality.
